Importance of staff retention

Since returning to normal operating, the level of activity in our industry seems to have bounced back, and we are seeing increased levels of enquiries from Auckland, through the Coromandel and Tauranga areas and over into the Waikato. These initial enquiries are developing into ongoing involving subdivisions, site surveys, and plan changes.

This suggests a higher level of confidence and renewed interest in property transactions. This is reflected in recent reviews of the level of activity in the real estate industry.

We are pleased that we retained all our Surveying, Planning, or Civil Engineering staff during the Covid pandemic, as this allows us to resume our normal level of service. Although staff retention during the pandemic was taxing and stressful for the company, it acknowledged the importance we place on the wellbeing of our team members.

Looking forward to the future, we expect to see slow but steady increases in the levels of interest in the property market, resulting in sustained staff retention, with opportunities for growth over the next 3 years.
