Looking forward to 2014

15 January 2014

There is no doubt that 2014 will continue in the vein of recent years with continual changes. Change is a fact of life and there are many interesting quotes about change. Winston Churchill said “There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction.”

Same of the foreseeable events include:

  1. Submissions to the Draft Auckland Unitary Plan close on the 28th February 2014. Make sure you have considered the effects of this document and submissions are in by that date.
  2. With the growth in Tauranga our branch office are employing additional staff early this year and will move to new premises with more space and improved facilities.
  3. A general election will be held towards the end of the year, and that has the potential to change the economy.
  4. A number of properties in the Auckland region have been selected as Special Housing areas, and this should result in significant additional housing in these areas. We are working with a number of clients to facilitate these development.

So whatever changes 2014 brings, remember the anonymous quote, “If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies”
