2015 updates

We are well in 2015 – where did the first 3 months go? The long summer and start to Autumn have allowed developments involving earthworks to proceed with pace and there is lots of visible evidence of new developments. The occasional heavy downpours can create momentary flooding issues particularly with the commencement of autumn leave drops, and this requires diligence and attention to ensure the effects are managed.

The Auckland Council is continuing with its Unitary Plan hearings and these can be quite demanding on time and resources particularly for parties who do not regularly participate in such forums. In the meantime landuse and subdivision applications continue to be processed under the existing District Plan rules. The decision on the plan change which sought to prevent subdivision entitlements being transferred between Auckland and Waikato has been released but this has now been appealed to the Environment Court.
